Wouter is a naturalist with a specialization in amphibians, conservation and education. Nature has always been the mayor line in his life.
He studied Nature and Forest management at Larenstein in the Netherlands. Since 1998 he specialised in amphibians. Annually he surveys several 1000 ´s of waters on rare amphibian species in natural, semi-natural and agricultural landscapes in Poland, Estonia, Denmark, Germany, France, Lithuania and Spain in frame of amphibian conservation projects.
Wouter lives in Spain where he is active in the Spanish educative and research association AMBOR organizing research, survey and monitoring on amphibian and other fauna in Sierra Norte Natural Park in southern Spain.
